Whenever we re-home bunnies we try to keep them with us for a little while so we can learn how they behave. Some of the things we discover are how they act around big people, little people and other pets. We take good notes on what they like to eat or if they have any favorite toys and we look for habits that can be fun tidbits to share with a new family or that might need extra training or support.
This past week we got to enjoy Belle the Rex rabbit and Leena the Lionhead, a pair of young girls that came in together because one of their people family members showed signs of an allergic reaction.
Leena, being a smaller breed, asked for little more attention than Belle and we learned quickly, that although they play nice together, they needed their own separate homes.
Every morning they enjoyed a romp through the art studio, which always included a meetup with Spice, one of our Tuxedo Kitties, and Lollipup our border collie mix.
We really enjoyed these two for the brief time that they were here, but in less than two weeks we found them a new happy home that will give them unlimited out door free range time. Lucky rabbits đŸ™‚
Bye Belle and Leena, we’ll miss you.
